Graduation milestone – marking the beginning of the next chapter in an apprentice’s career
Auckland’s Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron set the stage for a memorable evening of recognition and camaraderie in March this year, as the newest graduates in the marine, composite and industrial textile sectors celebrated alongside family, friends and colleagues. Keynote speaker William Pike inspired and entertained the audience, even pausing for a full-room selfie before the presentation of certificates.
Graduates took the stage alongside their MAST Training Advisors, many of whom had guided them through their three to four-year apprenticeship journey. Reid Wilson spoke on behalf of the graduates, acknowledging that the celebration “also belongs to everyone who has helped us on our way,” emphasising that the journey is a shared one. Several standout apprentices and award winners were recognised for their exceptional achievements – these rising stars featured here are certainly the future leaders to watch!
